1 The promoter

Nedbank Limited, registration number 1951/000009/06 (we, us, our), runs this competition. We reserve the right to make it available to all SimplyBiz members.

2 Competition period

The competition starts on 29 May and ends on 27 June 2023 (competition period).

3 Who can and cannot participate in the competition

3.1 A participant (you, your, team) must:

3.1.1 be a registered member of SimplyBiz;

3.1.2 enter a team (a maximum of 10 team members within your business);

3.1.3 ensure that each team member is 18 years or older;

3.1.4 ensure that each team member has a valid South African identity card or document;

3.1.5 complete all the questions on the online entry form (available at https://www.simplybiz.co.za; and

3.1.6 submit a photo or video of your team performing their challenge(s).

3.2 Our employees (including temporary and contract employees), associated companies, agents, contractors and sponsors may not participate in the competition.

4 How to enter

4.1 To stand a chance to win the prize, you must do the following during the competition period:

4.1.1 Log in to or register for SimplyBiz if you are not already a member.

4.1.2 Complete and submit the online entry form, together with a photograph or video of your team performing the challenge(s), before 27 June 2023 (midnight). You can enter multiple teams, but only one team from the same business may win. Teams may not have more than 10 team members.

4.1.3 Accept these terms and conditions.

5 The prize

5.1 Fifteen teams stand a chance of winning a SimplyBiz wellness hamper, valued at R5 000.

5.2 Each hamper contains a selection of wellness-related goodies:

• 10 x sports and deep tissue oils (30 ml) from African Secret

• 10 x cooler bags from AVG Marketing Solutions

• 10 x water bottles from Yes! Definitely

• 10 x soaps from Namhla Collection

• 10 x buffs from BandanaSA

• 10 x energy balls from Baaa Health

• 20 x mouthwash sachets from Freshmo

6 Selection of the winners

6.1 The random computer-generated draws to select the winners will take place on 12 June, 19 June and 28 June 2023 via Microsoft Teams, and will be recorded.

6.2 Five spot-prize hampers valued at R5 000 each will be drawn on 12 June, 19 June and 28 June 2023.

6.3 If you win, the following applies:

6.3.1 You will receive the prize only once we have verified and confirmed your details, including your compliance with these terms and conditions.

6.3.2 We will email you at the email address that we have on record for you within five business days of the draw date.

6.3.3 We will try to contact you a maximum of three times. If we cannot get hold of you after the third try, you will forfeit the prize and we will choose a new winner.

6.3.4 We will not be responsible for any technical failures affecting your participation in the competition or if your entry has been left out from participation.

6.3.5 If a dispute arises, our decision will be final and binding on all aspects of the competition, and we will not discuss the matter further.

6.3.6 All costs or expenses relating to the prize that have not been mentioned here are excluded.

6.3.7 We will not be responsible for any delays in your taking up the prize.

6.3.8 We will not be responsible for any additional conditions that third parties impose.

6.3.9 We will give the prize directly to you and not to anyone else, and we will not replace it with cash.

6.3.10 We will not be liable for delays or failure to deliver any part of the prize resulting from acts beyond our reasonable control. We will let you know you as soon as reasonably possible if your prize is affected in this way.

6.3.11 We will not be responsible for any damage to prizes incurred during transit.

6.3.12 We reserve the right to replace the prize at any time with another of similar commercial value.

7 General

7.1 All the information about the competition, including information that is published on any promotional material, is part of these terms and conditions.

7.2 By entering the competition, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

7.3 These terms and conditions are available on our website at nedbank.co.za throughout the competition period.

7.4 If you win, we may ask you to consent in writing to endorsing, promoting and advertising any of our services, without payment. If you decline our request, you will still receive the prize.

7.5 By entering the competition, you acknowledge that your personal information needed for this competition will be shared with us and our agents, but only to the extent necessary for the competition. Your personal information will be used in line with South African consumer and data protection laws.

7.6 We may extend, shorten or cancel the competition immediately and without notifying you if it is permitted by law, if we must do so by law, or for reasons beyond our control. If this happens, you will give up any rights that you may have in terms of this competition and you will have no recourse against us or our agents, contractors or sponsors as a result of the extension, shortening or cancellation.

7.7 We or our directors, employees, agents and suppliers will not be responsible for any direct or indirect loss, damage or harm resulting from your participation in the competition or the use or consumption of the goods won in the competition, or for any accident, injury, harm, damages, costs or death that you or any other person who participates in the prize sustains at any point during or after the fulfilment of the prize.

7.8 You indemnify us, our employees, agents and suppliers for any loss, damage and/or harm that may be suffered by any of your team members as a result of or in connection with their participation in this competition.

7.9 You agree that it will be your sole responsibility to advise your team members that we will not be liable for any claims that may arise from any team member as a result of or in connection with their participation in this competition.
